Excellent Amsterdam Experience My husband and I took the Cruise Amsterdam Like a Local this afternoon with Jan. This was a fun, scenic, and very informational experience. We learned a lot about the history of Amsterdam and the canals, and we got to see a scenic view of the city. Jan made the trip so much fun as he is a very funny guy. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Lovely cruise A lovely a cruise around Amsterdam. Jan explained everything really well and was fun! It was a very relaxed atmosphere as we only had a small group of five. Overall loved it and would recommend to others.

Amazing cruise with the Jonckvrouw! What a fantastic canal cruise — it was a truly unique experience! 🚤The cruise on the elegant boat Jonckvrouw was absolutely wonderful. Our captain and guide, Jan, was incredibly communicative and made the trip even more enjoyable with his many stories and historical insights. He genuinely looked like a real sailor — tall, blond, and full of fascinating stories to tell! ⚓️Jan shared so many interesting historical facts and details about Amsterdam that I was able to learn a lot during the cruise. It was much more than simply seeing the city from the water; it felt like getting a personal history lesson from someone who really knows and loves the city.The views from the Jonckvrouw were amazing, especially around sunset, when the lights on the canal bridges gradually started to come on. The atmosphere was simply beautiful and made the experience even more special. 🌅✨A very memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam.A big thank you to Captain Jan and Captain Dave for a wonderful time on board! What a great morning! Our captain Jung(apologies if I misspelled your name) was fantastic. He provided a lot of history, made it a fun trip and even shared some recommendations for the remainder of our trip. Would definitely recommend this cruise over others we saw (which were all crowded). We only had 7 people on our morning cruise.

Great tour, loved the history and the information about life in Amsterdam, also loved the recommendations for the good places to eat.

Highlight of our Europe trip!! Me and my family are from Alaska and we spent two weeks in Europe and this tour was everyone's highlight of our trip. The tour guide was great and the boat is beautiful!!! I would highly recommend it as the FIRST thing you do in Amsterdam so you can get recommendations for things to do, and not do, and places to eat from a local. Both our kids 6 years old and 13 years old said it was their favorite thing we did in Europe.

This cruise is the best choice if you would like to see the city from the water in a very special historic boat that seats a smaller group. Very comfortable seating great views, beer, wine, and snacks are provided. You feel special touring in this boat and not being in one of the bigger touristy cruises. The guide is very knowledgeable and you learn a lot about the history of Amsterdam.

Our boat tour was so informative, intimate, and fun! Loved the bits of knowledge from Captain Khareem. He made us feel right at home.

A small boat canal trip is a must do in Amsterdam! Gisela gave us a great tour which was tailored to our group’s questions and interests. The boat was comfortable, the cake and coffee were yummy, and Gisela’s friendly and knowledgeable tour delivery was a delight! When you’re in Amsterdam, you should definitely check out Captain Dave’s small group tours.

Private tour with Captain Dave Great session. We did a 2 hour private tour with Jan. Got to see things havent seen before. Was on the james bond boat. Very comfortable and enjoyable.

Awesome Morning Canal Cruise My wife & I loved this early-morning cruise .. quiet & no boats on canal! Very calm. Breakfast breads, coffee, juices, water. The smaller boat was extremely comfortable . even had a bathroom! Our driver was a lady who works with Captain Dave . she was awesome! She took us to a few areas “out of the way”. .. so cool. We both loved this canal tour!

We had a great time on this canal cruise. We passed by several larger boats filled with people and glad we chose a more small group experience. Jan was a wonderful host and kept us laughing the entire ride. Very educational and kid friendly too. Thanks again!

A fantastic canal tour Fantastic canal tour - our guide and boat captain was Gisella We cruised on the Royal Jonckvrouw (Young Frau) - a boat rich in history We were (unexpectedly) served sugar bread (a classic Dutch food apparently) orange juice and coffee - I had no idea a breakfast was provided We had a 90 mins guided tour around the north west and central canals with Gisella who gave an excellent tour of the surrounding area. She was very knowledgeable about the history and context of the entire area.A wonderful morning canal cruise - 5 out 5 stars!

Great boat for a great cruise The James Bond is a great looking boat. It was comfortable and well fitted, but small enough for Jan, our host, to take us places some of the bigger boats cant get to. Wine, cold drinks and nibblies were provided. Jan was freindly, entertaining and informative. My family and I all thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. I would highly recommend the cruise to an visitor to Amsterdam.

My 10-year-old daughter wasn’t particularly interested but I can generally recommend the tour. It was easy to follow and offered a bit of Amsterdam’s history. The host was friendly and always looked after our well-being throughout the boat tour.

Ollie was a great guide - funny and knowledgeable. Cruising through the canals was so lovely and I got very lucky with gorgeous weather. I would definitely recommend to anyone - I am traveling alone and I’m so glad I picked this.

James Bond tour We had an amazing time!! Jan was so knowledgeable, funny & great at sharing interesting facts about sites as we passed them. He made it a trip to remember very fondly. I would definitely recommend it.

Book this delightful canal cruise! Wonderful! We were not loving Amsterdam but this cruise gave us a different perspective. There were only 6 of us on the boat and we got so much information and got to ask questions. We enjoyed complimentary drinks, coffee and delicious traditional sugar bread. Our captain, Gisela, was lovely, interesting and made us feel at home on her boat. We took a different , larger canal cruise earlier this week and this was so much better!

I had a lovely morning with Jan. He was incredibly friendly, funny and knowledgeable, and the whole cruise felt very relaxed. I especially loved all the little stories he shared about Amsterdam. I learned a lot, laughed a lot, and had a great time 🙂
